BBL™ is performed in-office. Since BBL™ is non-surgical, there is no need for general anesthesia. During BroadBand Light therapy, light energy is directed to the surface of your skin; this energy can improve the appearance of sun damage, blotches, and more. A cooling plate is utilized during BBL™ treatment to reduce discomfort.
SCITON ERBIUM LASER SKIN RESURFACING
Laser skin resurfacing is completed in-office and does not require the use of general anesthesia. The specialized Sciton laser device delivers concentrated bursts of energy to your skin. The beam gently removes damaged skin cells one layer at a time in order to make way for new, healthy skin cells to grow. Each layer of your skin is evenly treated to ensure symmetrical results.
Mild redness and sensitivity may be present following BBL™ and laser skin resurfacing procedures. These effects should begin to dissipate within a week of treatment. Patients can typically resume their daily activities immediately following a BBL™ procedure. Laser skin resurfacing patients can experience social downtime that varies from zero to 1-3 days. You are encouraged to avoid sun exposure in the weeks following your procedure to allow for optimal healing.
